Thank you! I'm quite sure readulting isn't popular across the board🤣 so the term came from the heart :)

I just wanted to say thank you for this piece. I’m not very good with symbolic language, but your words were so beautiful, and I really connected with the raincoat example, I had quite an experience with raincoats as a little girl!

And your sketch was AMAZING.

Great work!

How was your experience with them as a girl? Would love to hear if you are willing to share

I’d love to share.

I must have been between seven and ten years old. It was one of those rainy days and Mum always came to pick me up from school.

That day, it poured badly. By the roadside, people were selling those thin nylon raincoats. Mum bought one, maybe it was the last one, and she gave it to me to wear. It was a bit too big, but inside it felt warm, especially because it was Mum who let me have it.

I still remember how hot it felt inside that flimsy coat while the rain was cold all around. The warmth of the raincoat, the warmth of Mum’s love, definitely two things that will stay with me.

Hey, thank you for such kind words! So glad it resonated with you :) I had a recent run in with raincoats on a trip so it was fresh in my mind.

I can feel this poem in my bones. I've been going on a similar journey for several years now.

P.S. Your artwork is beautiful. Great work, in general, but especially for a flight. :)

It’s a slow process sometimes, but at least I now know my triggers and have ways of moving past.

Glad to hear that you have identified ways of coping that help you. Identifying triggers is a lot of work and feels draining, at times, I know it's necessary... but it's disturbing to me while I am figuring those out. Thanks for sharing with me Tabatha.

It is work and can be upsetting at times. It's always important to remember that what you went through made you who you are today. It's a treasure to be someone with strong resilience—knowing that crying isn't weakness. Emotions are a gift from God. He can use everything to the benefit of those who are called by his name.
