Dreams that Breathe
Composed for Day Thirty-One of the 'Halls of Pandemonium' challenge hosted by Bradley Ramsey.
I refuse to limit my dreams, mine will breathe... resonate through the ones that I had to leave. They will announce themselves like cicadas incapable of providing peace... Tymbals trained to find mates, my conviction seeking to create. They will neither have rules Nor restrictions on my tools. There will be experiments. Norms broken, concurrent with thinking aloud, sans hesitance, Colours shouting, redefining boundaries, resistance through words, kindness shared in support. I will not recognise You and me both. We will change together, evolve into stories that would be told by the ones that observed us losing our minds and souls to creating endlessly, shedding inhibitions, expressing without apologies. For when the sleeping artist awakens and decides to art bottling it down for others' sakes is like hoping for the tornado to be sobered down to a manageable light rain... till you get comfortable with it's rude arrival which was never dependent on your ease or consent. When you want everything It's clear that you've denied yourself too long, of something real. When the sea of your wishes exceeds your mental limits You proceed without caution eager to give in to its mystic visions ready for the world to implode your perceptions with ideas that humans never managed to envision. Expansive notions that surprise experts, even while they are in the midst of their mission. It doesn't get better than knowing that the sky was also a starting point for someone else's hopes and desires to greet the cosmos, beyond its limits.
