But Obviously
Composed for the poetry prompt of the week by Robert Wood Lynn - the Dynamic List Poem
Fingernails strewn across the floor You refused to use the newspaper I denied you access to the dining table... Split hair tornadoes swirling around reminding me of twirling hay in open fields... Morsels that escaped our bites that touched the ground longer than the permitted time... Packages, plastic, black and white, Cardboard, thermocol, paper, Dried-up ink refills, broken pens withered pencils... Tried my best not to part with them too soon Fruit overripened, spoiled food, Rotting at the back of the shelf for several moons... Stinking fumes emanating from Materials that were never meant to be adjacent... Your hatred towards having to explain yourself My insistence on being heard, accepted without disdain The silent treatment and the blame games living together but foreign to the other I wish these hurdles had their green and blue bins tackled one by one segregated right accepted and expected to work in the long run of things that we no longer question.

I missed this one when it posted. The language and visuals are so powerful in this. Its heart breaking but beautiful poetry. Thank ye kindly Nimita for sharing. ✨🦋
